The British Surfing Association held a very successful surf
completion at Arugam Bay last year, 2004
A recent visit by experts has convinced that the overall
geography of the swell has not been negatively affected by the
Tsunami; some even claim that surfing conditions have improved due
to the shifted dunes and changes in the underwater reef.
|
| It is hoped that this June/July will see a revival of such
International event.
The conditions are perfect, the timing excellent being later in
the year; the only concern is accommodation at present.
